Many of you do not introduce yourself so I'm inviting you to do so.

Hello,

I am Ray, and I'm an EMT-P in central Kentucky.

Got started with a fire dept. in L. A.

(lower Alabama), but moved up here for family.

My advice to both of the two new emt's above is to work in the field as an emt for a year or so before jumping straight to being a paramedic, you can be the book smartest person in the world, but until you do it at least once in the real world, you won't know what you can or can't handle.

I've been a lurker here for a while, and really enjoy reading others experience, hope I will be able to contribute.

I didn't introduce myself because even I don't want to read 100 posts of

"welcome to the city"

But I will say that I've really enjoyed this site. I was surfin' around another site for a while and

then I started to count the posts.

(topic) who hates everything 18,361 posts

(topic) scenario 200 posts

and I thought this isn't what I'm looking for.

This site has great topics, especially for those us new to the field.

Students, Taking the test and Scenarios are my favorites.

The spell check is handy also....

Thanks!

David
