Our engines say something about smoke detectors and our buses say something about "Proudly serving since...."

But our city motto sounds like an AA/NA motto. "Moving ahead, one step at a time."

St John in NZ "First to care"

joke within the service ... first to scare

My college company is officially "Our family helping yours"

The rescue side doesnt have an unofficial motto, but fire is "putting out since '69," although they were actually founded in '70, its rescue that was '69.

Official: 24 hour Caring Services

Unofficial: Love Your Nasty Con Home

Ironic: IFT service with "Advanced Life Support" printed on the side (sure, we do some RN CCT, but not that many and the units are dedicated).

Unofficial motto for the major local 911 company: Can't Assess Real Emergencies (ALS is pure fire with no private medics allowed in the county. So the 911 ambulances are BLS and ALS engines respond to all 911 calls)

"So the 911 ambulances are BLS and ALS engines respond to all 911 calls) "

Wow, that's Dumb.

Ours is "Coast to Coast Transfer" ...[For a price]

Unofficially, after some incidents with, say, a fire chief and a few members who might ave had a little too much etOH prior to responding:

"Friends don't let friends assess patients drunk."

I guess it'd make more sense if we were actually friends with them.

I still contend EMS company mottos to be high on the list of things that dumb down the profession. EG: UPS has a motto, USPS has a motto, dominos has a motto, and EMS has a motto?

WTF?

How many police departments have a motto? How many doctors services have "millions and millions served" outside their offices?

Its stupid.
