EMT Study App

Recommended Posts

This is a positive and negative review (caveat I have NOT downloaded the product - just a overview review)

Ok, the obligate ad question - you should have first messaged admin that you were looking to advertise your app since that's what you were supposed to do.

ok, that being said, it looks promising but I don't have a dog or pony in this race so I'm not going to spend 3 bucks to download an app that I dont' need but it looks fresh, looks like it would be useful for those studying for the national registry.

I would hope one thing that you did not just take a bank of test questions and copy and paste them into your app and say "Hey here's my app and pay me 3 bucks for using someone else's work even though I put it in an app" If you did just copy and paste, I'm hoping that their lawyers don't get wind of it. (hint -remember the copyright lawsuit that EMTCity was faced with way back when?)

But if you actually wrote the questions, then Good on ya and way to go to take initiative and provide new questions to an already huge pool of questions out there. I know that looking on line I can find several test banks of questions but they aren't in a Iphone/ipad/Ipod version and that's cool. I know that I myself would much rather have a book version of test questions but many times I found myself when studying for my Project management test (way way way worse than paramedic in my opinion) that I wished that I had a Android version where I could just sit in a restaurant or coffee shop and go through tons of questions all in one sitting and guage my progress.

That's what I like about this app.

I'm sure others have a completely different opinion of this app though.

I do wish you the best of luck in your sales EpicMedic

Thanks for your quick response Ruffmeister and I appreciate your feedback. Rest assured all material included in this app is 100% original material. Although there are obviously numerous questions and resources out there for NREMT prep, I personally found many to be far off from the style the NREMT actually uses and can actually be somewhat misleading. The goal of this app is to provide users with questions similar to the NREMT format (lots of scenarios with just enough information to answer the question) and to identify weak areas (remember one must have a passing score in all 6 categories of the NREMT). This is more or less the app I wish I had when going through the NREMT process myself.

Somehow that's actually the answer I thought you would have. I love that.

I also wish that I had that resource as well as many currently available resources. I did great on my nat reg EMT but not so great on paramedic. My fault, I was cocky.

But I bit the bullet, found a nat reg refresher course(I took it but it wasn't required to take for me to retest) but I took it any way, I then found a Nat reg practical exam prep course which gave us 3 days of prep (practice practice practice) with actual registry evaluators and then the next two days we took the practical test. I passed with only needing to retake the skills station because I forgot one step in the KED device.

Best 700 bucks I ever spent.

I truly do wish you the best in your endeavor. Now if someone here would go bite the bullet and pay the 2.99 and buy it, and give a hands on review, you will have some good feedback.
