Good morning everyone!

I'm new to this site along with being new to the EMS world! I've been thinking about joining for awhile now and hope to finally begin my classes in September. With a 7 month old baby at home I'm not sure that now it the right time.

You should be able to do you classes without a problem even with your baby at home. Clinicals might be a little more tricky.

Paramedic might be a bit more difficult.

Breastfeeding might be a little more logistically difficult as well unless you pump but clinicals for medic should also be doable as well.

IF you want something bad enough, anything is possible.

The Capt. is right. EMT class is simple enough that it shouldn't be a problem at all. Even clinicals shouldn't be that difficult depending on how many hours are required. Good luck.

Welcome to our new person, watch out for the Kiwi, keep your hands and feet inside the vehicle at all times, no flash photography, batteries not included, limit one per customer, no purchase necessary, not valid on Sunday ...

Kiwi defies all logical understanding of the space time continuum, laws of physics as well as known and experimental science and religion.

It is best to just not pay attention to it or the funny words it says like:

- Bugger

- Bloke

- Scrote

- Ambo

- Resus

- Adrenaline

- Drip

- Suxamethonium

- Nunngered

- Bikkies

- Cuppa

- Shav

- Squiz

- Consultant Physician

- House Officer / House Surgeon

- Registrar

Welcome,

If you like EMS, then go for it! There are always reasons to put off what we want to do. You should be able to move through basic with ease.

It is good to have you.

Oh dear, what did the Gynae say about that one? :D

dont care about what they gynaie said, what did her lecturer say about having a baby in the 1st semester of the 2nd year? bet that was a class that would have had some type of class participation in it......
