I tried my roommate's Ab Circle last night. Yeah, that was a mistake.

I am assuming that your roommate's Ab circle is a machine? :)

There goes my theory that you live in your mothers basement like some sort of family outcast

I personally have not done the South beach diet, but my ENTIRE family has.

The common feedback was it is good for a short time. They all lost a bunch of weight and got whipped into shape, however, eventually the food preparation got to be too much. The recipe's take a while tto prepare, and some of the ingredients are just not available in our area.

After 6mos they all quit it, and just concentrated on building thier own healthy diet with what was availabe.

I did the fasting thing over the last 24hrs. I was great till right about 1700 today. See it was overcast and foggy till damn near 1 o'clock, then the sun came out and it shot up 20 degrees, into the mid 70's. Ate a pack of Dex4, and all was good. Thinking about going another 24hrs. Granted I do drink stuff. Provided we don't have like a forest fire, I shouldn't actually have to do anything "work" related. It has been dry and windy, though.
