Well, he is a zombie fighter, you know how they may need anything at a given mom...wait. Zombie fighter?!? Did anyone look at the rest of the website?

Nobody knows the walking dead like Zombie Squad. With one of the toughest training programs in the business, our Zombie Extermination Specialists make up the world's premier non-stationary cadaver suppression task force.

If brains were gasoline, they wouldn't have enough to run a gnat's moped around the inside of a Cherrio? Good for the companies that soaked the money out of this chode.

I can't remember my user ID (necessary to get a new password), but I've been a member of that site for several years. At first, I was linked to a first aid post, from the "Medic" section of an airsof WWII reenactment group. Don't ask. It was just one post. Then, more popped up as it got passed around. One day, there was a whole category for First Aid. Anyhoo, aside from being doomsday planners and survivalists. Some of them do USAR and that sort of stuff in large groups. It started with Kerlix and SAM Splints, and grew from there.. and then when all the big name medical catalogs started dipping in on the US Military actions, and selling equipment in OD color to anyone.. it went nuts. Really nuts, clearly, and out of hand, esp. when these hemostatic agents appeared.

Many doctors will prescribe items for a diasaster preparation kit. In fact it is highly recommended by survival experts that you have certain antibiotics and pain meds as well as all your regular daily needs meds. Look at the quanitys not like he has enough to supply the neighborhood.

It may not be enough to supply the neighborhood, but it is enough to make some good money.

After looking at this, I am very scared. I agree with WFT????? I read through some of the post and continued to be very scared. I'm going to get a survival pack so that I can survive the survivalists. It will be very simple. I will put a bottle of "Antinutjob Spray" in it and a large calibur weapon for those that have developed a resistance to the spray. I was wondering where the cyanide capsule is for when the zombies get throught the front door.

Why does it always seem that the more education a person has the less they feel they need to carry?

My question is he has 10 different pain killers. Some very, very strong ones. There is a reason they are not used in prehospital care, they dont make sense. Why would he carry morphine, dilaudid and vicodin?

Its a great kit, and if I worked in a unit that had a kit that clean and organized, i'd be in heaven, personal use, i'd scale that way back.

Your ambulance doesn't carry all those drugs?

LOL. I think the large caliber weapon or two is the most crical part of any survival pack. Can get food with it and stop looters.

So, umm...Chris......how many, uh, 'zombies' have you hunted down and 'eliminated'?

What's the best method of terminating these 'zombies'? Garlic? Silver bullets?

Wait...I got it...a wooden stake through the heart!

*wonders how many ZS tattoos Chris has* :D:lol::D:lol::D:lol::D

Why does it always seem that the more education a person has the less they feel they need to carry?

Could it be that education teaches us to focus more on 'quality' than on 'mass quantity'?

The only sure way to "kill" a Zombie is to remove the head or pulverize the brain.

On a related note, if you're looking for an entertaining book, look up "World War Z: The Oral History of the Zombie Wars." Incredibly entertaining and written by the same author as "The Zombie Survival Guide."

I kinda like ERDoc's thinking on the large calibre weapon, especially if you live beside one of the survivalists with all the packs. With the weapons they can become your packs for free. ;)

Great minds think alike. That was my first thought when examining the drug list. It wasn't thought out in an attempt to prepare for emergencies. It was thought out in an effort to hoarde the sexy stuff, probably to use as barter material in a disaster.

Well, you said yourself- no formal medical education, or even training. I can't imagine he'd know that he doesn't have enough antibiotics.

No means to purify water. No means to make fire

Well, for the record, this isn't his ONLY bag. This is just his "FAK."

The use of so many acronyms was also beginning to scare me. These people are the poster children for "Just enough knowledge to be dangerous." Looking over the pack again, this guy has 300mg of IV/IM morphine. That is a huge amount of morphine. Where does one with no certification get that? Does it come standard issue with the pack? Does the DEA know about it? Maybe that is why is comes with the narcan. I think I would rather have my brain sucked out by the zombies than take my chances with these guys. I noticed the OP never answered when he was asked where the narcs came from. I would also prefer different antibiotics. If the zombies give you a UTI you are all set. With all of the narcs I comes with 8 800mg Motrin. Why? Isn't that like taking a leak in the Pacific and waiting for sea level to rise?
