domping

HI my name is Dominic i am starting my EMT basic class in January and i need a pair of boots i work construction half the year and am becoming a volunteer firefighter and for both of my classes i need 8 in. boots but i can only find 8 in. loggers with the big heel. do you think that will be bad or will that help me?
